From 19 to 22 February, Plaza de España once again became the main showcase for flamenco fashion and culture. Despite the weather-driven postponement, the event organised by the Andújar Chamber of Commerce drew thousands of attendees and delivered a strong economic and tourism boost for the city.
An anniversary powered by public support
Andújar Flamenca 2026 has wrapped up its 15th anniversary with an extremely positive outcome. The rescheduling due to adverse weather conditions did not diminish the interest of audiences, participants, or supporters, and the programme went ahead without cuts. Previously purchased tickets remained valid.

Andújar Flamenca Baila: 188 dancers for the opening (19 February)
The programme opened with Andújar Flamenca Baila, featuring 21 groups and 188 dancers across children’s, youth, and adult categories.
The jury, chaired by Antonio Gutiérrez and made up of Úrsula Moreno, Susana Sánchez and Agustín Barajas, highlighted the very high technical and artistic level, with special mention for the work of local dance schools.
Runway shows and performances: three days of flamenco fashion (20–22 February)
The catwalk programme delivered some of the most anticipated moments of the anniversary:
- Friday 20: opening with Lenea de Gracia and Maite Cárdenas.
- Saturday: shows by Guillermo Peralta, Micaela Villalta and Carmina Villa, with a performance by Tamara Jérez.
- Sunday: runway shows by Mari Carmen Sáez, Amparo Pardal, Aires Flamencos by Lola Ayuso, Teresa Niña and Maite Cárdenas, with a performance by Alba Molina.

In the awards section, Cristina Hoyos received the Andújar Flamenca Glamour Award for her career and her role in promoting flamenco internationally. In addition, Noelia A. Romero was named Model of the Year, recognised for her professionalism and charisma on the runway.

9th “Muévete Flamenca” New Talent Competition: a platform for emerging designers
The 9th Muévete Flamenca New Talent Competition crowned @pedrolopezdesigner as the winner, receiving a €1,000 prize and a direct spot at Andújar Flamenca 2027.
The award was presented by the CEO of ska-logistik, Francisco Téllez, in recognition of the designer’s innovative approach.

The jury was composed of:
- Pilar Vera (chair)
- Ana Peña (secretary and General Manager of the Andújar Chamber of Commerce)
- Margarita de Guzmán (influencer)
- Alberto Gamiz (Escuela Nekkar)
- Mayte Cárdenas (designer)
- Francisco Santana (designer)
- Guillermo Peralta (designer)
- Mario Gallardo (designer)
- María José Fuentes
Alongside the winner, finalists such as Adelino Pérez Design, María Jiménez por Antonio González, Lucía Rincón Design and Pedrolaurí López Design took part, showcasing the energy and forward momentum of emerging flamenco fashion.

A mirror of flamenco duende, passion that unites souls
The evening also delivered a memorable image. In Plaza de España, Francisco Téllez crossed the runway and Cristina Hoyos spontaneously joined him in an improvised “mirror dance” that seemed to stop time.
The audience responded first with awed silence and then with sustained applause. A moment that captured the spirit of the anniversary: closeness, emotion, and a flamenco that knows no boundaries.

Impact and thanks
Director Salvador Pérez confirmed that the rescheduling was carried out without changing the content of the programme, and the organisation thanked participating institutions as well as sponsors, including ska-logistik, whose continued support has been essential in raising the event’s standards year after year.
